The story of Inés Rosales goes hand in hand with the story of confectionery, and has seen us go from a small, local company in Andalusia to international acclaim. Our extra virgin olive oil tortas, recognised as a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed by the European Union, have been a staple in homes around the world for the past century.
Do you know why each Inés Rosales cake is -literally- unique and unrepeatable? Because they are all handmade, in that special way. A delicate ritual in which expert hands give them their characteristic shape before baking.
The secret is that there is no secret. Our cakes are made with the utmost care and affection, using first class ingredients, with extra virgin olive oil as a base. In addition, we dispense with any kind of additives and they are suitable for vegan diets.
Time passes, the months turn into years, the years into decades, and new generations come along. Yet that special moment spent with family and friends enjoying an Inés Rosales torta has remained unchanged. Perhaps it’s their unmistakable flavour and crunchiness, or the fact that their natural ingredients make them the perfect snack for the body and mind. Whatever it is, they are always guaranteed to bring sheer joy.
For the past century, Inés Rosales hasn’t just been making the world’s most famous tortas, it’s been building an enduring legacy.
This is because, apart from their 100% natural ingredients (wheat flour, extra virgin olive oil, sugar and aromatic seeds), our original olive oil tortas offer something even more special: the love and care of those who skilfully make them.
It is this authenticity, as well as the original recipe dating back to 1910, which makes them truly unique. Whilst they are all offer the same delicious flavour, each torta is one of a kind.
